Cadaques is a small town on the northern Costa Brava, Spain, it has a resident population of around 2,600 and is located in a bay near to the Cap de Creus peninsular. The famous Spanish artist Salvador Dali spent many happy times during his childhood there and later had a home in Port Lligat nearby. This once sleepy fishing village becomes a hive of activity during the summer time as thousands of holidaymakers head for the area. During the winter it is one of the wildest spots on the Costa Brava ("Wild Coast") and fiece winds whip up huge waves along the surrounding coastline.

Cadaques is in a somewhat isolated position north east of Roses and can be reached from the GI-610 by way of the GI-614, it is about 70 km from Girona airport and 180 km from Barcelona.
