The Costa Tropical is the name given to the coastal region of the Granada province of Andalucia, it stretches roughly from La Herradura, east of Nerja, to Castillo de BaƱos. Made up of small resort towns and large agricultural areas, the Costa Tropical is noticeably greener than the Costa Almeria to the east and the Costa del Sol to the west, this is mostly due to water supplied to the area by the Sierra Nevada mountains.
