La Marina -
Located between Santa Pola and Guardamar del Segura on the Costa Blanca, Spain, La Marina is a popular seaside town within easy access of Alicante airport. With a population of around 3,000 La Marina has some fabulous sandy beaches nearby and the town itself has a good selection of shops,bars and restaurants and a regular bus service running along the coast road between Alicante and Cartagena.
The urbanization of La Marina lies a little inland from the coast and is one of the largest urbanizations on the Costa Blanca, the urbanization has its own range of facilities making it independent from the coastal town. La Marina attracts a large number of holidaymakers especially during the summer months, there are numerous privately owned properties available to rent on a long or short term basis and visitors should have no problem booking their La Marina holidays.
Street markets take place in La Marina on Thursdays and Sundays and there is also a market on Sundays in nearby Guardamar del Segura.
