Campoamor: A beautiful and popular coastal resort, situated between Pilar de la Horadada and Cabo Roig, Campoamor (“Country of Love”) is within the section of coast known as the Orihuela Costa (the coastal area for the historic town of Orihuela).
With some of the best beaches in the region, Campoamor, as you would expect, attracts its fair share of holidaymakers, and the Spanish themselves are especially keen on Campoamor, with properties in the area having a larger percentage of Spanish owners than the rest of the Orihuela Costa.
Giving its name to the renowned golf course (Club de Golf Campoamor), which is situated a little inland from the town, Campoamor has all the facilities you would expect from such a popular destination. There are also three other golf courses within a few minutes drive of the resort (Villamartin, Lo Romero and Las Ramblas).
Experiencing a warm and temperate Mediterranean climate, it is a great place for a holiday all year round, though the months May to October would be the best choice for guaranteed sunshine.
For the best choice of restaurants and bars, many visitors to Campoamor choose to head along to the nearby Cabo Roig strip, where they can experience a wide choice of cuisines.
Heading south from Campoamor, finds you in the Costa Calida (Murcia) region, here you can enjoy the wonderful beach resorts of the Mar Menor coast, with such excellent resorts as Los Alcazares and La Manga, the Mar Menor is also a great spot for water sports activities.
