The Costa Blanca comprises a coastline of approximately 200 kilometres and a large hinterland, it takes in many well known resorts including the most famous of them all - Benidorm which receives over 4 million visitors each year. The landscape of the Costa Blanca is varied and ranges from flat fertile plains to rugged mountainous regions (mostly in the north). There are plenty of interesting places to visit in the area and some famous landmarks to enjoy, those who like a bit of culture may wish to head for one of the ancient cities such as Alicante or Elche, nature lovers may head for one of the many Natural Parks, thrill seekers will no doubt visit the amazing theme parks of Benidorm (Terra Mitica and Aqualandia being just two), sun-seekers will probably choose one of the popular coastal resorts such as Calpe, Cabo Roig or Guardamar del Segura.
