Benidorm Attractions - Mundomar Marine and Animal Park

Mundomar Marine and Exotic Animal Park in Benidorm offers a fascinating journey through a water world inhabited by the most beautiful and interesting marine and exotic animals.

Suitable for old and young alike, adults as well as kids will gaze in awe as they begin their journey by the unique lagoon, crossing bridges and exploring its paths surrounded by dense vegetation, being greeted by flamingos and another colourful array of aquatic and tropical birds.

After the lagoon, you can enjoy the lumbering movements of the giant turtles. Mundomar shows the visitor a varied collection of these oviparous (egg-laying) reptiles, together with in-depth information on their biology and habitat.

The penguins live in harmony, comprising a large colony with a range of different species. Without doubt, a unique opportunity to learn about these birds from faraway lands, part of the charm of Mundomar and its educational facilities and programmes mean it is a highly popular choice for school trips. A proud member of the European Association for Aquatic Mammals, Mundomar is not simply a theme park; its teaching elements enable you to learn a lot about the sea and its inhabitants.

From the inside of the mysterious grounded galleon, you can watch what is not possible to see on the surface: the performance of the dolphins in their natural habitat. Through large windows, you will see in detail the underwater life of these prized mammals.

During your visit there is the chance to see interesting and entertaining live shows with dolphins, sea lions and parrots in action, but the highlight and main show of the day is the dolphins; a 40 minute spectacular water ballet with a team of synchronized swimmers moving as one among the dolphins - who are obviously enjoying every moment.

This year’s show times for the dolphin shows are 1.30pm and 5.45pm. 2007 entrance fees are 21.00 euros for adults, 15 euros for children aged 3-12 years. Entrance tickets can be combined with a visit to the neighbouring Aqualandia water park an exciting and entertaining place to visit and great fun for the children, probably the biggest water park in Europe it features some stunning slides and rides including the Kamikaze, the Big Bang and the Atlantic Wave, there is also a picnic area and some animal shows. You may also want to visit the Terra Natura Animal Park.

For the 2007 season there have been a number of improvements made to the Mundomar Marine and Exotic Animal Park including the introduction of otters, a new species for the park. Many of the animal enclosures have been improved and a new garden area has been introduced.
