Spectacular, picturesque, stunning, you would soon run out of superlatives to describe the Andalucian city of Ronda, perched on cliffs on both sides of the Rio Guadalevin, on one side the old town, and on the other the new. Settled from early days due to its sound position, Ronda was a stronghold of the Moors, who held out here long after most of Spain has been recovered for the Christians.
As can be seen on this Ronda map, the town can be reached via the A397, the A374, the A366, the A367 and the A369, it is about 116 kilometres from Malaga city.
