One of the most popular seaside towns on the northern Costa Blanca, Javea lies behind a wide bay and is sheltered by 2 rocky headlands. Javea enjoys a warm Mediterranean climate with hot summers and mild winters, it has two beaches, the main one being Playa de Arenal, a fine sandy beach backed by a wide promenade. Javea has a lovely old port dating from the 15th Century and a fine 14th Century church (San Bartolomé), both of which are well worth a visit. Javea's skyline is dominated by the huge Mount Montgó which also forms part of the Mount Montgó Natural Park. Javea can be reached via the AP-7 motorway or the N332 coast road.
