Cartagena weather can usually be expected to be fine and bright, as the area enjoys in excess of 300 days of sunshine every year and normally very little rainfall (most of which falls in the winter time). Sunshine is virtually guaranteed from May to October. Cartagena Map

Here is today's weather for the ancient Spanish city of Cartagena located in the Murcia province of south-eastern Spain. Cartagena has a history going back to the times of the ancients and was settled by Phoenicians, Greeks and Iberians before becoming the capital city of the Carthaginian general Hannibal. The Romans made Cartagena into an important trading centre and there are many Roman ruins which an still be seen today including the Punic ramparts and the Augusteum.

Cartagena also has some interesting museums to visit outlining the history of the city and the port and harbour is the main naval port for Spain.
