Located in the province of Murcia in south-eastern Spain and around 100 kilometres from that city, the town of Aguilas is the most southerly town on the coast known as the Costa Calida, its shores are lapped by the warm waters of the Mediterranean Sea. The municipal district of Aguilas covers an area of 250 km2 and comprises around 28 kilometres of beautiful coastline. Aguilas enjoys a fine Mediterranean climate with plenty of sunshine a little rainfall. Aguilas can be easily accessed from the N-332 coast road and also from the AP-7 motorway. Also shown on the map are Cartagena, Mazarron and the historical Baroque town of Lorca with its 13th Century arabic castle.
