The small coastal town of Tamarit is situated between Torredembarra and La Mora on the coastline of the Costa Dorada, Tamarit is the location of the Tamarit Park Camping site, in a prime position right beside the sea and enjoying a fine micro-climate. Tamarit is handy for touring the area and is ideal for exploring the historic city of Tarragona which has a rich architectural heritage, with many remains from the times of the Romans. Tamarit is also within easy striking distance of the well known resort of Salou with its Port Aventura theme park.
Tamarit can be accessed from the A-7 (E-15) motorway or from the N-340a and is 10 kilometres to the north-east of Tarragona, it is about 75 kilometres from Barcelona airport.
