Santa Eulalia Ibiza Spain -
Third largest of the popular Ibiza resorts, Santa Eulalia has a resident population of about 14,000, though the population increases considerably during the busy summer months. Known as a family resort, Santa Eulalia is much quieter than some of the other Ibiza resorts and the nightlife is lively rather than frantic, it has a wide sandy beach backed by an attractive promenade, an exclusive yacht marina and has some excellent restaurants and a good choice of bars.
The famous Punta Arabí Hippy Market is held nearby on Wednesdays and this attracts visitors from all over Ibiza, this is a great place to pick up a gift or two to take home with you, the market was first held during the 1970's.
While Santa Eulalia is a package tour destination with some excellent hotels, there is also a good choice of privately owned rental accommodation to found in the area, and this is a great place to get together with some friends and book a luxury villa, to make your visit extra special, a quick search on the internet will provide a good selection.
The main beach at Santa Eulalia is around 300 metres long, 20 metres wide and made from fine, white sand, it is very safe and ideal for families with children, the water is clear and inviting, with a gentle slope. he beach has a number of facilities including sunbeds, pedalos, banana boat etc, there is also a diving school in the marina.
Places to visit in and around Santa Eulalia include the aforementioned Hippy Market at Es Cana, the Santa Eulalia Tower, a watchtower dating from the 16th century, the Can Marca Caves in the north of Ibiza near to Puerto de San Miguel
Santa Eulalia is located on the PM-810 about 21 kilometres from Ibiza Airport which is south-west of Ibiza Town (Eivissa) at San Jose.
