Lorca Map - Map showing the location of the town of Lorca, situated south-west of the city of Murcia in south-eastern Spain. Lorca can be accessed from the A-7 (E-15) motorway and is within easy driving distance of the fine Costa Calida coastal resorts of Mazarron, Calarbardina and Aguilas. Lorca is an important commercial town for the region and has good road and rail connections with the major cities such as Alicante and Valencia. The closest airport is at San Javier (Murcia) which is about 100 km away. There are some interesting places to visit in Lorca including the Ex-Collegiate Church of San Patricio constructed on the former site of the church of San Jorge in the 16th Century, the Santo Domingo Convent from the 17th Century, the Granary (El Pósito) from the 14th Century and the Plaza Mayor. To the north of Lorca you will find the Sierra de Espuña, ideal walking country for the more energetic.
