Excellent elephant picture taken at the Rio Safari in Elche in August 2006. We took our annual trip to the ever popular Rio Safari when the grandchildren were visiting for their summer break. They love to see the animals and of course the elephant is no exception.
This elephant picture was taken during the twice daily elephant show (which the children enjoy immensely), during which the elephant gives one of the audience a haircut!
The Rio safari is quite unique in that visitors can get very close to, and in certain cases interact with the animals (including feeding them).
