Estepona has a population of around 60,000 and is a popular holiday resort best known for its wonderful sandy beaches of which there are over 21 kilometres in the area, the town itself has 2 "Blue Flag" beaches. Surrounded by the sea and the Sierra Bermeja mountains, Estepona experiences a unique micro-climate and enjoys around 325 sunny days each year. Places of interest in Estepona include the Clock Tower, the San Luis Castle, the Church of Los Remedios and the Old Bullring. The town has plenty of bars and restaurants and a lively nightlife, it also has excellent water sports facilities and there are several golf courses nearby.
Estepona is situated just off the A-7 (E-15) motorway, the nearest airports are Gibraltar (45km), and Malaga (80km).
