One of the biggest resorts on Lanzarote, Playa Blanca still retains much of its original fishing village charm, it is a quieter more laid back resort than the likes of Puerto del Carmen and is more suitable for a relaxing beach style holiday or as a base for touring the island. Playa Blanca is also the main port for trips to Fuerteventura and tiny Los Lobos Island, and is also a good centre for water sports activities and deep sea fishing trips.
Playa Blanca is located on the LZ-2 in south-western Lanzarote, and is about 35km from the airport at Arrecife.
