There are 2 ways that you can arrive into Los Montesinos when leaving the apartment. You can go straight forward at the roundabout (to the left of the property) and head through the orange and lemon groves, arriving at the newly constructed famous Los Montesinos roundabout where you would turn right into the town. Alternatively you may leave the property and turn right at the roundabout, following the beautiful boulevard, turning left at the roundabout. This road will take you directly into the town to the local Spanish pub El Paso. Both directions take approximately 20 minutes on foot - a very pleasing local walk.
La Herrada urbanisation itself holds several restaurants, a large value supermarket, computer shop (with full internet access and mail service), hairdressers and a few pubs/bars with a lot more yet to be built. A few communal swimming pools are situated around, with 1 pool allocated per block of apartments. You can also find numerous children’s play areas throughout. Unlike many other local urbanisations La Herrada is self sufficient meaning you don’t need to have the use of a car.
